Tiger Moth Square was transformed with a dramatic combination of art and landscape design. We worked closely with residents, local schools and Salford City Council over a period of several months to reach the final designs. The proposal was successful in winning a lottery bid in 1999. Our close collaboration with Alex Shaw, the landscape architect for Salford City Council, played a very important role in the success of the project.

The artworks include: a 5 metre tall steel ‘Umbellifer' sculpture, with multi coloured fibre optic lighting, 13 square metre areas of encaustic ceramic ‘poetry' tiles,  woven steel pebble railings, steel pebble bollards, carved wooden bollards, terracotta floor signs, children's sculpture garden with large granite boulders inset with colourful ceramic and an intricately designed safety surface.
