A beautiful green oak bench and a ring of children’s tiles make the finishing touches to the newly refurbished gardens at St John’s Church in Hoxton, London.

Pupils from the adjacent primary school worked with us. We modeled wonderful terracotta floor tiles, which they then painted with imagery on the theme of ‘mini beasts’ . The ring of tiles runs like a necklace around one of the oldest and most distinctive of the London Plane trees in the garden.

The green oak bench, constructed in green oak by Tom Straker, is surrounded by lawns and flowers, it has already established itself as a favourite place to sit and day dream.
